How to use the automated tan booth

Before you enter the booth

Step One
Get undressed & remove all jewellery. Grab a disposable gstring if you like. Remove all makeup, & deodorant and perfumes.
Step Two
Put on a hairnet, pushing it back to ensure you leave your hairline and ears exposed. Pop one on your face if you don't want your face tanned.
Step Three
Apply blending cream to your palms, back of your hands, tops of feet, heels and nails. And any dry areas prone to grabbing with fake tan.
Step Four
Apply sticky soles to your feet before hopping in the booth to keep the bottom of your feet clean. Step carefully into the booth.

Instructions

Once you enter the room
You’ll find everything you need inside our tanning room to prepare for your automated booth spraytan. Remove all jewellery and clothing, grab a pair of sticky feet, a disposable gstring and hair net. Use the barrier cream provided & add a small amount of this to your palms, tops of your hands, tops of your feet and your heels. The tan itself takes just 5 minutes but you will have 20 minutes inside the tanning booth room before the next client arrives.
If you find the disposable items have run out, please restock for use from the black cupboard. This cupboard houses sticky feet, disposable hair nets and gstrings and wet wipes.
Ready to start your tanning session?
Browse the tan menu and select your preferred tan colour and depth from the tan menu on the wall and enter the number into the grey box on the booth using the blue buttons (these go up and down displaying numbers) and then press the blue start button to activate the booth. Don't worry if the booth starts its just warming up. It won't start the actual tanning process until you step into it and press the green flashing button.Familiarise yourself once again with the positions in the booth before entering. Remembering that YOU can move your body to catch the spray but the nozzles themselves stay in one position. So if you think you may be positioned a little off just move your body to catch the spray. An instructional video is on the booth screen if you wish to watch it again before you start your tanning session. Step carefully into the automated spray tan booth and press the green flashing button when you are ready to begin your spray tan session. The voice guide will guide you thru the 4 simple poses (6 if you added primer) and the warm jets will dry you in between each solution pass to help you walk out dry after your session.
If you have booked and paid for the pH primer add on you will be sprayed with this clear solution in the booth before your actual tanning session begins with the booth guiding you thru the positions for this service.
After your session has ended
When your session has ended simply step out of the booth carefully.Gently remove your sticky soles to avoid any small pieces sticking to your feet and place these and your disposable undergarments into the bin provided. Use wipes provided to remove any tan from your lips, palms of hands, finger nails and toe nails. Put on loose dark clothing and slip-on shoes.
The machine will auto self clean/wash approximately 60 seconds after your session has ended. Snap a selfie,upload to your social media and tag us xx
Please note the main salon sensor lights turn off automatically 15 minutes after salon entry so be sure to finish in time or have your phone light ready just in case the lights go out. They will automatically turn back on once you walk out the tanning booth room door into the waiting area.
Touch Up Station
We offer complimentary touch up mousses in the room, feel free to lightly pump onto any areas you feel you may of missed in your tanning process and blend with the blending mitt or your hand lightly. Be sure to wipe your hands using one of our wet wipes. Please leave this blending items in the room after you have finished these are not to take home & DO NOT throw them in the bin or steal them.
Please tidy the room if you notice it has been left messy by the previous client by placing all rubbish in the bin provided & generally tidying up.
REFUND POLICY Results of your spray tan may vary depending on your ‘Pre Tan’ care and prep along with how you position yourself in the automated booth. Faux Tan will only provide you with a refund in the event they are unable to continue to provide the services of spray tanning or if the manager of Faux Tan makes a decision, at its absolute discretion, that it is reasonable to do so under the circumstances.
We do not offer refunds of any kind due to user error including not standing in positions correctly and missing parts of your body.
We encourage you to watch the position video on our website and on the automated tan booth screen prior to your tanning session. There is also extensive information in the tan booth room.
 Complimentary touch up mousse is in the room to use if upon exit from the booth you haven't positioned yourself correctly and have missed parts of your body use this to add tan to any areas you may of missed.

How to pose in the booth

Pose One
FRONT Arms out wide and clawing fingers. Close your eyes and hold your breath. Toes on #1 heels on #4
Pose Two
LEFT SIDE Side pose with arms extended wide, hands and face facing the wall of booth, separating your legs apart.
Pose Three
RIGHT SIDE Side pose with arms extended wide, hands and face facing the wall of booth, separating your legs apart.
Pose Four

Caring for your new tan

FIRST SHOWER: Rinse in lukewarm water only, gently wiping over your body to remove any hard to move bronzer residue – make it short and sweet, no washing of your hair for this first rinse and no soaps or body wash. Gently pat dry your skin.
Allow the tan to develop without adding any moisturisers for the first 12 hours. The tan will continue to develop after your first rinse for the next 12-24 hours, so don’t be alarmed if you’re not as tanned as you expect to be straight after rinsing this is common for all spray tans. After 24 hours, moisturise each morning and night, stay hydrated and keep avoiding bar soaps and creamy body washes. Start using a tan extender from day 3 to extend the life of your new tan.
